A Nigerian mother who recently gained viral attention for a video seemingly showing her feeding her baby alcohol has now responded to the widespread backlash.
In a new video, the nursing mother claims that what she actually gave her baby was a soft drink, which she had placed inside an alcoholic drink sachet.
She explained that she deliberately posed as if she was giving her baby alcohol solely to create content that would go viral.
She further argued that her baby is only 5 months old and should not be exposed to alcohol.
It is worth noting that the Nigerian Police had previously condemned her initial video, asking for information to help identify, arrest, and prosecute the lady.
