Galatasaray manager, Okan Buruk, has suggested that Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate committed fouls too easily on Victor Osimhen during both sides’ UEFA Champions League tie.
Buruk also criticized the match referee Pawel Raczkowski, labelling him as the worst referee for failing to step in and protect Osimhen.
“Konate committed fouls far too easily on Victor Osimhen’s position,” Buruk fumed in his post-match interview, as relayed by Habersarikirmizi.
“We were expecting the best referee in the world, but instead, the worst referee in the world officiated the match,” he added.
The night turned from frustrating to damaging for Galatasaray when Osimhen picked up an injury during the game.
The Nigerian international was forced off at half-time before the final whistle.
