UCL: Chelsea suffer major injury blow ahead of second leg clash with PSG

Published:

Chelsea have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their Champions League Round of 16 second leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

This comes after Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior disclosed at his pre-match interview on Monday that captain Reece James is injured ahead of the PSG clash.

According to him, the England international will not feature against the Parisians at Stamford Bridge.

Rosenior’s side lost 5-2 in the first leg against the French Ligue 1 side last week in Paris.

“Reece felt something in his hamstring at the end of Chelsea’s game with Newcastle United,” Rosenior said.

“That is disappointing for us and we don’t know the full extent of that just yet, but it rules him out of tomorrow’s game against PSG.”
