TikTok star and streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, escaped a fire outbreak at his Lagos home after a generator went up in flames in the early hours of Saturday.
The social media influencer disclosed the incident in a post on his Instagram page on Saturday, sharing a video that captured the early-morning blaze.
In the footage, flames engulfed the generator as Peller, visibly distressed, repeatedly called for help to put out the fire.
The blaze was eventually contained after what appeared to be prolonged efforts using buckets of water. While the generator was utterly destroyed, the house and its occupants were unharmed.
Fans and followers flooded the comment section with messages of relief, attributing the outcome to swift intervention and good fortune. The video also circulated across other social media platforms, sparking conversations about safety precautions.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire had not been independently verified.
The incident came months after Peller survived a separate scare on the Lekki–Epe Expressway. During that episode, which unfolded in a widely shared livestream titled “RIP Peller,” the influencer was seen driving his Mercedes-Benz while visibly emotional.
The broadcast triggered concern among viewers after he made a series of distressing remarks during a phone conversation believed to involve his girlfriend, amid speculation about their relationship. Moments later, the vehicle crashed into a roadside object.
