Office of the British Prime Minister has disclosed details of telephone conversation between President Donald Trump and PM Keir Starmer.
DAILY POST reports that the duo had a telephone conversation on Sunday pertaining to the ongoing situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The office said both leaders discussed the ongoing situation in the Middle East and the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz to end the disruption to global shipping, which is driving up costs worldwide.
According to the office, Starmer commiserated with the US over the death of its soldiers during the war, adding that both leaders agreed to be in touch.
It further revealed that Starmer on Sunday spok with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and discussed the situation in the Middle East, including the impact of the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international shipping.
Recall that President Trump on Saturday called for other countries, including the UK, to step in and assist with the escalating crisis in the Strait of Hormuz.
