The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, hosted popular American internet personality and streamer, Kai Cenat, at the Lagos House, Marina.
The visit was disclosed by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril A. Gawat, in a post shared on X.
According to Gawat, Cenat, who is on his second visit to Lagos, paid a courtesy visit to the governor, during which he shared his experiences in the state.
He said the globally recognised streamer was in Lagos to further discussions on projects and initiatives he planned to implement for children and young people in Lagos State.
Kai Cenat is one of the most influential streamers worldwide, with a massive following on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, where his content attracts millions of viewers, particularly among young people.
State officials did not provide details of Cenat’s itinerary or the specific nature of his engagements during the visit.
The visit came shortly after another American streamer, IShowSpeed, toured Lagos, a trip that drew widespread public attention and generated significant engagement across social media platforms.
