A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Eze, has said politicians who objected to real-time electronic transmission of election results acted out of fear of being voted out of office in a free and fair election.
Eze, who was a spokesman for the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (NPDP) in 2013, has said they have resolved to rely on rigging elections to remain in office.
He described such politicians as criminals bent on holding Nigerians captive.
Reacting to a question by LEADERSHIP on why politicians are afraid of real-time electronic transmission of election results, Eze said “Not politicians per say but criminals acting as politicians who want to hold Nigeria and Nigerians as captive and as a captured State.
“The politicians who are afraid to be voted out and rely only on rigging themselves to power as they are fully aware because of their evil deeds against the State the people of Nigeria have deserted them.
“These are the politicians who are afraid of real-time election transmission of results but they will be disappointed as no matter the odds, God will give us the wisdom and strength to get them out of office come 2027,” he said.
End.
