The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, on Friday, led members of the Kaduna State Caucus in the Green Chamber on a congratulatory visit to Governor Uba Sani following his recent recognition as Governor of the Year 2025 by the LEADERSHIP Media Group, publishers of LEADERSHIP newspaper titles.
The visit came a day after Governor Sani formally received the award at the 18th Annual LEADERSHIP Conference and Awards ceremony in Abuja.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, the governor described the visit as “both generous and affirming,” expressing gratitude to the Speaker and his colleagues for their show of solidarity.
“I had the exceptional pleasure of receiving the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, GCON, PhD, alongside members of the Kaduna State Caucus of the House of Representatives, who graciously paid a congratulatory visit following my investiture as Governor of the Year 2025 by the Leadership Newspaper Media Group,” Governor Sani stated.
The governor said he accepted the honour “with humility,” stressing that the award reflected the collective resolve of the people of Kaduna State rather than an individual achievement.
“It speaks to the shared resolve of the people of Kaduna State — their resilience, their faith in democratic governance, and their steadfast commitment to a more secure and prosperous future,” he noted.
“This award, in truth, belongs to them. It reflects our collective pursuit of inclusive development, institutional stability, and sustainable economic growth.”
Governor Sani commended the Speaker and the Kaduna State Caucus for their “principled partnership,” noting that the synergy between the executive and legislative arms had bolstered the state’s capacity to deliver reforms and tangible progress.
He also praised the unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, describing it as a key driver of continued development.
“Our cohesion of purpose continues to inspire confidence, drawing more citizens into a common vision of service, stability, and forward movement,” Governor Uba Sani added.
