Residents of Osun State have risen up to protest the state of newly constructed roads by the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration, which they say cannot last the test of time.
In a video shared on social media platforms on Tuesday, some aggrieved residents are seen using their hands to dig up some parts of a newly constructed road which they claimed was a sub-standard and poorly done job, with some failing within weeks of construction, thereby worsening the hardship the people are going through.
An X user with the handle @Olaore_01 who shared the video wrote:
“Osun residents are beginning to ask questions. When a newly constructed road starts crying louder than the people, something is wrong. From celebration to protest — is this the “dividends of democracy” or dividends of disaster? Osun people are watching. History is recording.”
