The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja has declared that he has set up a committee to resolve the chieftaincy controversy in Ido town.
The decision is coming after three individuals laid claim to the Onido of Ido stool.
DAILY POST reports that three persons have been parading themselves as the Onido of Ido in Ido local government area.
The three persons are, Benjamin Ademola Ishola Orobiyi, Tajudeen Akinola and Muritala Babalola.
This development has been a source of concern for the residents of the town in the last few years.
Ladoja in his reaction noted that he has set up a panel to investigate the matter.
The traditional ruler made these declarations via a statement signed by his Media Aide, Adeola Oloko, a copy of which was obtained by DAILY POST on Thursday.
Ladoja in the statement, advised all the stakeholders concerned to cooperate with the committee.
He said that the committee was set up to resolve the matter amicably.
The statement reads “Part of the panel’s mandate is to look into the remote and immediate causes of the Onido stool crisis.
“The second mandate of the panel is to make far -reaching recommendations that would guide the Olubadan and his council in resolving the 19-year old crisis once and for all”.
