NPFL: Enyimba vs Kun Khalifat FC to be played behind closed doors

Published:

Enyimba have announced that their oriental derby clash with Kun Khalifat FC will be played without fans.

The People’s Elephant said the directive comes from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), and marks the final of three home matches it must host without spectators.

Enyimba acknowledged the disappointment and inconvenience for their supporters, whose presence has long been a source of strength for the team.

“We understand the pain this causes our loyal fans and appeal for their patience and understanding,” Part of the statement reads.

Enyimba emphasized that the order is beyond its control and pledged to work with authorities to meet compliance requirements and restore normal matchday experiences as quickly as possible.

The nine-time NPFL champions sit in 14th position with 32 points from 27 matches.
