NNPCL Increases Petrol Price to ₦955, Marking New High

Published:

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has officially increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) at its retail outlets. The new price is now ₦955 per litre, a significant jump from the previous ₦890.

This price hike, which represents a ₦65 increase, has been implemented at NNPCL stations in Abuja, including those along Kubwa Expressway and Wuse, as well as in Kogi and Nasarawa states.

The move by NNPCL follows a similar action by independent petroleum marketers in Abuja over the weekend, who had already raised their pump prices to between ₦950 and ₦971 per litre. Their decision was prompted by an upward review of the ex-depot price of petrol by Dangote Refinery, which increased from ₦820 to ₦858 per litre. This latest adjustment by NNPCL now brings its official prices in line with the new market realities.
