Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has approved the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries into the state’s public service as part of efforts to strengthen efficiency and improve service delivery.
The approval was conveyed in a press release dated 21/01/2026 and issued by the Head of the Civil Service, Abigail Waya, who said the appointments were aimed at reinvigorating the public service and enhancing administrative effectiveness across ministries and departments.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Absolom Madawa from Akwanga Local Government Area, Stephen Sasetu from Karu, Khadija Suleiman from Keffi, Hadiza Dohiru and Mohammed S. Mohammed from Lafia, Yahaya Yakubu Ede from Nasarawa, Salamatu Oseze Sani from Toto, and Sunday Iliya from Wamba Local Government Area.
According to the statement, the appointees were selected based on merit and experience to further strengthen governance and ensure efficient policy implementation in the state.
The Head of the Civil Service added that the swearing-in ceremony for the new Permanent Secretaries would be held at a later date, to be announced by the state government.
