Ademola Lookman is poised to experience his first Madrid derby as Atlético Madrid prepare to take on Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.
Since making his permanent move to the Metropolitano Stadium from Serie A side Atalanta during the January transfer window, the Nigerian winger has already faced another of LaLiga’s giants, Barcelona, twice in the Copa del Rey.
The 28-year-old has earned widespread praise for his impressive performances in the opening months of his Atlético Madrid career, and he will be eager to showcase his quality against Real Madrid’s star-studded squad.
Lookman has contributed four goals and three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions for Los Colchoneros.
Diego Simeone’s side currently sit fourth in the LaLiga standings with 57 points from 28 matches.
