Kebbi Governor’s Wife Seeks Interfaith Harmony

Published:

Wife of Kebbi State governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has called on Christians to strengthen bonds with people of other faiths during the Yuletide.

The appeal was made in a Christmas message released by her chief press secretary, Hajiya Khadija Saidu, and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Christmas Day.

She emphasised Kebbi’s culture of pluralism, equity, and equality. “Kebbi State has consistently maintained a culture of pluralism, equity, and equality, allowing people of different faiths and backgrounds to live together harmoniously as brothers of the same destiny,” she said.

The first lady urged residents of the state to “embrace the spirit of love and unity during this festive period” and prayed for sustainable peace and success for Governor Nasir Idris’ administration.

Hajiya Zainab extended festive greetings, saying, “I wish each of you a peaceful and joyous holiday season and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
