Popular South Korean actor and 2PM member Ok Taecyeon is preparing for his upcoming nuptials later this April.
The actor is planning to walk down the aisle with his non-celebrity girlfriend. Reports state the marriage will take place on April 24 at a private ceremony in Seoul, South Korea. Families, relatives and close friends are expected to attend the occasion.
His label, 51K, has released a press statement shedding light on the couple’s position on privacy.
“Out of consideration for the bride-to-be, who is a non-celebrity, all details regarding the wedding, including the schedule, will be kept private,” 51K noted.
The label equally repeated that Taecyeon is in a relationship with a non-celebrity woman and, as such, details of the couple’s wedding cannot be revealed out of respect for the couple.
“We kindly ask for your understanding that specific information related to the wedding cannot be disclosed. Please send your blessings and warm support as actor Ok Taecyeon begins this new chapter of his life,” the label said.
The actor and singer confirmed his forthcoming marriage to his girlfriend in November last year, with whom he has been in a long-term, committed relationship. Some reports suggest Taecyeon’s girlfriend is 4 years younger than the K-pop star, and the couple have been seen travelling overseas from time to time.
The agency remarks that the actor will be ready to take on projects and a wide variety of activities after his marriage. Asking that the fans continue to give the K-pop Star their love and support.
Taecyeon began his show business career as a contestant on the reality show Hot Blood Men, which eventually led to the creation of the K-pop boy groups 2PM and 2AM.
The actor remained active with the group from 2008 to 2017 and returned to the industry in 2021.
Taecyeon is known for his roles in K-dramas such as Vincenzo, Heartbeat, and Bring It On.
