Investors gained N1.76 trillion last trading week as the equity market continued to consolidate on its previous bullish run.
The market opened for trading on three occasions following the Federal Government’s decision to declare March 19 and March 20 as Public Holidays to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The equity capitalisation increased to N129.1 trillion from N127.3 trillion recorded the previous week.
Similarly, the All-Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 1.39% to close the week at 201,156.86 points from the 198,407.30 points recorded the previous week.
The market performance was buoyed by strong showing from stocks like John Holt Plc, Bua Cement and Premier Paints Plc which performed credibly to secure their places among the top 10 stocks last week and positioned themselves as stocks to watch in the new week.
