The 68th Annual Grammy Awards delivered a night of unforgettable performances, emotional wins, and global recognition, with Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny claiming the coveted ‘Album of the Year’ trophy, while Kendrick Lamar emerged as the biggest overall winner for the second consecutive year.
Lamar took home five awards, including ‘Record of the Year for Luther’, his powerful duet with SZA, and ‘Best Rap Album for GNX’, cementing his status as one of the defining artists of his generation.
Despite Lamar’s impressive sweep, Bad Bunny’s genre-blending project resonated with voters to take home the night’s top prize, a victory that underscored the growing international reach of Latin music.
In a heartfelt moment, Lamar thanked his collaborators and fans for “keeping hip-hop alive through evolution and truth,” while SZA called their win for Luther “a celebration of artistry, courage, and connection.”
The ceremony, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, showcased a vibrant mix of global talent and genre diversity, from Afrobeats to country, and from pop to jazz.
