The marital crisis involving Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife, actress Regina Daniels, has taken a more complex and controversial turn following the release of a document by the lawmaker that alleges drug use and internal household tensions.
Late Wednesday, Nwoko shared on his 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account a document presented as a written statement by a live-in nurse identified as Dora, who claimed to have worked in the Nwoko household from July 2023. The statement, dated January 9, 2026, has since triggered intense public debate, with observers questioning both its timing and implications.
In the document, Dora alleged that she began noticing what she described as troubling behavioural changes in Regina Daniels around September 2025. She claimed the actress requested help in obtaining prescription-only medications and allegedly asked questions about lethal dosages of substances, including morphine and pethidine—claims that, if substantiated, raise serious health and legal concerns.
The nurse further alleged that she once encountered opioids, anesthetic substances, and cannabis arranged on a table in Regina’s room. One of the most striking claims in the document is Dora’s assertion that Regina instructed her to empty a ketamine injection onto a flat plate and heat it in a microwave to form crystals—an act the nurse said alarmed her and prompted her to report the incident rather than comply.
Dora maintained that she refused all such requests, citing professional ethics and safety concerns, and insisted she neither prepared nor administered any substances during her employment.

Beyond the allegations of substance use, the document also touches on claims of domestic conflict. Dora stated that she never witnessed Senator Nwoko physically assault his wife, countering online speculation about domestic violence. According to her account, disagreements she observed were verbal and largely revolved around Regina’s alleged drinking and smoking habits.
“My boss, Sen. Ned Nwoko, neither drinks nor smokes, and I have not seen or heard of him physically abusing my madam in any way,” the statement read.
The document also introduced a third party into the controversy—a friend of Regina Daniels identified as Ann Cassie. According to the statement, Ann Cassie was allegedly involved in procuring and mixing substances and was recently arrested and charged with multiple offenses. These reportedly include allegations linked to an illegal abortion in the past—an issue Regina had previously referenced indirectly on social media—as well as cyberbullying offenses tied to online posts. Ann Cassie was said to have been granted bail, with the cases pending in court.
While the allegations remain unproven, their public release by a sitting senator has intensified scrutiny of the couple’s private life and raised broader questions about the use of personal documents in public disputes. Critics argue that the publication of such claims risks trial-by-media, while supporters of Nwoko contend that he is attempting to set the record straight amid mounting speculation.
As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has not issued a public response to the claims outlined in the document. No independent verification of the allegations has been made, and no official statement has been released by law enforcement authorities regarding the issues raised.
