Former England star, Paul Merson, has predicted that Arsenal will beat Liverpool comfortably, when the two Premier League giants face off on Thursday night.
Merson, writing in his SportsKeeda column, claimed the win will knock out Arne Slot’s men “completely out of the title race”.
The Gunners are eyeing their fifth consecutive victory when they host the champions.
However, Liverpool were stunned by a late Fulham goal last weekend, as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.
“If you’re Arsenal, it’s a brilliant time to be playing Liverpool,” Merson said, predicting a 3-1 win for Arsenal.
“Should Arsenal win at the Emirates, Liverpool are completely out of the title race!
“Something is just not right at Liverpool and I can’t see them getting a result here.”
