The result means Egypt will now travel to Tangier to face Senegal, who beat Egypt in the 2021 final, for a last-four meeting on Wednesday.

The other semifinal clash will be between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the hosts Morocco. Winners of each tie will meet in the final next Sunday.

Recall that Cote d’Ivoire defeated Nigeria in the final of the last edition in Cote d’Ivoire. It is end of the road for the champions, and the continent will behold a new champion in coming days.
