CAF Champions League: Finidi Targets Maximum Points Against Power Dynamos

Published:

Rivers United’s head coach, Finidi George, has reiterated his team’s determination to secure maximum points in today’s CAF Champions League fixture against Power Dynamos. The Port Harcourt-based club is set to face the Zambian side in a crucial Matchday Four encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo later today.

Rivers United are still searching for their inaugural victory in the group stage of the competition, having held Power Dynamos to a goalless draw in their Matchday Three clash last weekend. Despite this, the former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions’ manager remains optimistic about their chances of securing a vital win this time around.

“We just need not to talk much; we need to go there, put in the hard work, and get the maximum points,” Finidi stated in a pre-match interview. “It’s all about winning. If we can score more goals, it will be an added advantage. I can tell you that we will give our all in the game.”

He further added, “We have been defending well recently, and I believe good defence wins games. We will try to defend and score goals.” This commitment to both defensive solidity and attacking prowess highlights Finidi’s strategic approach as Rivers United look to kickstart their Champions League campaign.
