Addressing reports connecting him to the National U17, U20, and U23 squads, Coach Haruna remarked, “I am genuinely honoured to be considered for such a prestigious role.” He added, “It signifies that the experience accumulated over the past decade, working alongside some of the world’s finest youth coaches—Manu Garba, Nduka Ugbade, Emmanuel Amunike, Haruna Ilerika, and Lawal Dankoli—has not gone unnoticed.” Haruna further commented, “To be recommended by the media, fans, and football pundits demonstrates that people are tracking my progress.”
