Ebere, an ex-choir member of Pastor Chris Okafor who has previously alleged she had a relationship with the cleric, has made fresh claims linking a series of family tragedies to her past association with him.
In an emotional video circulating online, Ebere alleged that three members of her family—her father, mother, and brother—died under what she described as a similar pattern of illness. She suggested the deaths occurred after efforts were allegedly made to formalize her relationship with the cleric following her pregnancy.
According to her account, her father reportedly contacted her after learning she was pregnant and raised the issue of bride price discussions. She claimed that shortly after informing Pastor Okafor of the conversation, her father became ill and died within 24 hours. She further alleged that her mother later raised similar discussions about marriage and subsequently developed a comparable illness before passing away.
Ebere also claimed her brother, who she said defended her and cautioned against any harm coming to her, later fell ill and died. She did not provide medical records or independent verification of the causes of death.

In the latest video, she expressed concern about her sister’s health, alleging that her sibling is exhibiting symptoms similar to those experienced by the deceased family members. She issued a public warning, stating that nothing must happen to her sister and vowing to continue speaking out.
The allegations remain unproven, and there has been no publicly available medical or investigative report substantiating her claims. Pastor Chris Okafor has not issued a new response to the latest allegations as of the time of this report.
The development adds another layer to an ongoing public dispute between the cleric and the former choir member, who previously claimed they had planned to marry before disagreements allegedly arose over bride price requirements.
