The Oyo State Fire Service has disclosed that it rescued two people from an accident scene in Ibadan.
The agency made this known in a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon. Maroof Akinwande.
The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday evening.
Akinwande stated that the victims were rescued after a car collided with a petroleum tanker.
The incident occurred at a petroleum station belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) located in the General Gas area of Ibadan.
He added that the victims were rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
He said: “Upon arrival, it was observed that a Hyundai Sonata car with registration number EYCAMB 033 had collided with a stationary MACK trailer tanker with registration number TRN 311 ZG, loaded with 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), from the rear, with its contents gushing out.
“No casualty was recorded. Two persons were rescued alive and conveyed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.”
