Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has said the team will not qualify for next season’s Champions League through the Premier League.
Carragher was speaking following the Reds’ 2-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
According to him, it would take a big twist for Arne Slot’s team to finish in the top five spots.
If City’s third goal was not ruled out after a VAR review, the champions would have dropped to seventh in the league table below Brentford.
When asked if his former club will qualify for the Champions League, Carragher replied: “No. Right now I don’t.
“They would have to have a huge upturn in form and the ones above them are in great form.”
