Yoruba Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ashabi Simple has described how controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, met her as a child and exploited her naivety.
Ashabi made this known during an interview on Oyinmomo TV on YouTube.
Asked whether Portable had promised to marry her, Ashabi said she would not have entered into a relationship with the singer if he had not made that promise.
Ashabi, who revealed she witnessed positive career growth after meeting the Zeh Nation label boss, described him as a caring person despite his controversial lifestyle.
The revealed that Portable has ten children, stressing that they are no longer together as she needed to see for herself if she could be successful without him.
Speaking in Yoruba, Ashabi Simple said in part, “Portable chanced me, he saw me at my younger age and took advantage of it, and he used to be a caring person.
“Portable has 10 children at age 32 and mine is 2 out of them.”
When asked if she could go back to the singer, Ashabi refused to give a definite response.
Ashabi Simple also stated that she opted for a polygamous marriage because the nature of her job would not allow time with her husband.
