Gunmen on Wednesday night killed a commercial motorcyclist and snatched his motorcycle n Oba-Ile, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The motorcyclist, who was working at the second gate of Oba-Ile Housing Estate, took a passenger to Akure before his lifeless body was found along the road.
The spokesman for the state police command, Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident to journalists on Friday in Akure.
He said: “On Wednesday February 4 at about 2200hrs, a case of lifeless body found beside Federal College of Agriculture, Akure along Airport Road, Oba-Ile, was reported to the Oba-Ile command.

“Upon receiving the report, the command switch into action and deployed it’s personnel to assess the place.
“The lifeless body, which was later identified as Peter Monday, has been moved to the morgue of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Teaching Hospital.
“Meanwhile, investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstance behind the lifeless body.”
