Agency Intercepts 10 Trafficked Minors In Taraba

The Taraba State Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has intercepted a human trafficker with 10 minors in Jalingo.

A statement by the state commandant of the agency, Mr Bako Amos, on Friday, said that the arrest was made following intelligence report.

“Following a tip off of intelligence today, January 30, 2026, NAPTIP Taraba State Command, in conjunction with the Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State on Human Trafficking, Mrs Sarah Ishaya at about 11.00am, intercepted a suspected human trafficker with 10 children.

“We got them at the Kurmi Park, Jalingo in their preparation to be trafficked to an unknown destination. As at the time of this report, the victims and the suspect are in NAPTPs custody, while investigation is ongoing,” the statement said.
