‘I Am Tired’, TikTok star Peller quits University two days after resumption

Published:

Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has withdrawn from Caleb University just days after resuming academic activities, citing mental exhaustion and difficulty adjusting to the traditional classroom system.
The development came to light after a voice note shared by the content creator on Wednesday began circulating on social media. In the recording, Peller openly expressed frustration with the structure of university life, explaining that long hours spent sitting in lectures did not align with his current lifestyle or career priorities.

According to him, remaining in class for several hours without earning income felt unproductive, especially when compared with the financial returns he enjoys from streaming and content creation. He noted that the routine of writing notes and listening to lectures conflicted with his personal goals at this stage of his life.

Peller also admitted to feeling out of place among his classmates, whom he described as much older than him. In a lighthearted tone, he suggested that he might consider returning to university later in life, possibly in his thirties or forties, when he feels more mentally prepared for the academic environment.

Mental fatigue was another major factor behind his decision. The streamer described the classroom setting as draining and said he needed time away to rest his mind and focus on himself.

“I will now sit inside class for like seven hours and be writing and looking? And play play not making anything? God forbid,” he said.

“When I entered the school I see that everybody is old, so me too I need to get old like 30 or 40 years before I go. I am tired. I need a break from the classroom environment.”
