United States President, Donald Trump has announced that he and his officials are going to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday in a bid to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Trump disclosed this to reporters in Davos on Thursday after leaving his meeting with Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He also said that his talks with Zelenskyy were very good when asked about the chances of getting a deal to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
“We will have to see what happens,” Trump told reporters when asked whether there is a chance of getting a deal today.
He added, “We are meeting with Russia, which will take place tomorrow, and we are going to be meeting with President Putin.
“I had a very good meeting with President Zelenskyy, everybody wants to have the war end,” he said.
Trump has been trying to strike a peace deal that will end the fighting between Russia and Ukraine for the past couple of months.
