Former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is set to join Qatari club Al Ahli SC from Al Kholood, DAILY POST reports.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Troost-Ekong’s imminent departure on Monday.
“Nigerian defender William Troost-Ekong is signing in Qatar for Al Ahli SC from Saudi club Al Kholood,” Romano wrote on X.
The 32-year-old joined Al Kholood from Greek club, PAOK in August 2024.
The centre-back scored twice in 45 league appearances for the club.
He announced his retirement from international football few weeks to the start of the just concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
