Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle remains optimistic about his team’s future following their impressive performance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The three-time champions concluded their campaign with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over the Pharaohs of Egypt.
The Super Eagles received acclaim for their attacking displays throughout the competition. Chelle stated that they will build on this experience moving forward. “What we achieved did not happen by chance. A significant amount of work was put in with the players. Building a strong group is challenging; managing various personalities requires patience and calm, but the players responded in the best way possible.”
