The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has explained the reason for the power outage affecting parts of Maitama district in Abuja, including the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), and the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC).
In a public notice issued on Thursday morning via its verified Facebook page, AEDC informed customers in the affected areas that a technical fault caused the outage.
The terse statement read, “We regret to inform you that the current power outage is due to a technical fault affecting the feeder serving your area.”
The electricity distribution company added that efforts were already underway to restore power supply, stating that, “Our technical team is working tirelessly to restore power supply as quickly as possible.”
AEDC further appealed for understanding from affected customers, noting, “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.”
For additional information and updates, the company advised customers to reach out through its communication channels.
