The Nigeria Police Force has disclosed that in its recent fight against insecurity in North-Central, no fewer than 129 terrorists have so far been arrested in Kogi and Kwara States respectively.

Force Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known on Tuesday in an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.

Hundeyin further revealed that at least 55 of the terrorists were killed during gun battle with operatives while about309 hostages were rescued

“I can confirm that 129 terrorists were arrested and 55 neutralised in Kogi and Kwara, while 309 hostages were rescued during recent operations against criminals.

“The ones killed fell in the line of firefight. Well, some might want to say, oh, that was extrajudicial killing, so I have to make it clear. Firefight.

“These were people that were not ready to give up because some of their colleagues were arrested. But these were people that decided to fight to the end,” he said.
