The Nigerian currency, the naira, lost N1.45 against the American dollar at the official window on Thursday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,418.26/$1, compared to N1,419.06/$1 it traded on Wednesday.

Also, at the black market, the local currency lost N5 against the American greenback, trading at N1,505/$1, as against the previous rate of N1,500/$1.
The naira similarly lost N15 against the British Pound to trade at N2,035/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,020/£1.
It, however, closed flat against the Canadian dollar and Euro to trade at N1,130/CA$1 and ₦1,730/€1, respectively.
