Text: 2 Kings 7:9
2025 was a very troublesome year. And God is expecting us to reposition ourselves for a better year. But there is a power I need to explain to you about which I need all of us to battle against.
2 Kings 7:9 (KJV) says: “Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.”
These men decided to shake themselves from the grip and claws of the demon of stagnancy.
Each of us is committed to something. God has deposited in our different lives; talents, abilities, knowledge, strength and energies.
Everyone has committed these gifts to one purpose or the other. Maybe thoughtlessly or thoughtfully, righteously or unrighteously, legitimately or illegitimately, consciously or unconsciously.
The way you spend your time and spend your money is a testimony to what you are committed to.
A woman prayed vigorously one day and said, “Father, I want to move,” and the Lord showed her a staircase with seventeen stairs on it. She stood on number three, and the Lord said, “Woman, although you have a good time, you are not broke, but you are in staircase number three instead of seventeen.”
This woman was rejoicing in a minimum. She was captured by the mysteries of stagnancy, and this is a serious matter.
Spiritual stagnancy is a clever evil bus stop in the journey of life. Something is flowing but is not flowing well. You did not grow spiritually or academically, although you have money. There are different phases to this demon.
It is a weapon of the enemy. It may allow you to move in one direction but block you in another direction. It has cleverly kept many behind, and it is a day-to-day tragedy.
This is a time you must decide and say, “What I did in 2025, and I did not move with the speed of heaven; I need to change now. I need a change in my life now. I need to depart from the school of spiritual stagnancy and rejoicing at a low level.” If God should open your eyes and you see the level you ought to be, I suspect you will break down in tears.
The trouble with stagnancy is that if it is not arrested, it graduates to decay; the person begins to decay.
I am praying for everyone reading this article today or connected to this sermon in every area of your life that heaven was complaining about in this year, receive deliverance from that demon, in the name of Jesus.
Therefore, as we go into the year now. I do not want you to enter the year in stagnancy or in deficit.
PRAY YOUR WAY INTO THE YEAR 2026
✓✓Beginning-of-the-year affliction, middle-of-the-year affliction, end-of-the-year affliction, assigned against me, die, in the name of Jesus.
✓✓My glory, hear the Word of the Lord, locate me by fire, in the name of Jesus.
✓✓Battles, that fought me in 2025, year, you shall not escape; die in the name of Jesus.
✓✓ 2025 as your journey ends, hear the Word of the Lord, go away with my battles, in the name of Jesus.
✓✓My battles and my enemies shall not enter 2026, in the name of Jesus.
PROPHETIC OUTLOOK FOR YEAR 2026
- Year 2026 is a fast, strange, and troublesome year.
- It is another flying year.
- The trends of 2025 will prophetically flow into 2026.
- It is a year to re-strategise spiritually.
- It is going to be a year filled with surprises, good surprises for the righteous and bad surprises for the unrighteous.
- This year, the table of evil traders within churches shall be turned upside down.
- This is a year of strange and mysterious lifting for many believers.
- A year of divine recompense.
- This year God will empower strong evangelists so that evangelism will thrive.
- This year will need united and intensive intercession against strange happenings, fire, explosives; many of these things are not natural.
- This year, the mighty hand of God shall be significantly felt in many nations. Nations that practise righteousness shall be well.
- It is a tragic year for traitors and disloyal ones.
- A year of tragedy for unfaithful married people.
- This one needs a lot of prayers: there will be a renewed strategy of the kingdom of darkness to recruit children.
- This year, God will pass through many nations, families, and churches to reward and to judge.
- Nations that ignore righteousness will experience confusion.
- This year will be a year of big trouble for the prayerless, for all those powerless powers that people depend on; those powers will fail.
- This year, for many people who can pray, all past losses shall be mysteriously and bountifully restored.
