Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has sharply rejected Pastor Chris Okafor’s apology and decision to temporarily step aside from church duties, insisting that the move does not address what she describes as far more serious and troubling issues.
The Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry founder recently announced he would take a break from leading church services. In a video circulated during a church gathering, Pastor Okafor told members that other ministers would handle all activities throughout January while he focuses on prayers, rest and family time.
He explained that the decision was necessary because he and his wife had not taken time off since their wedding, presenting the break as a period for spiritual and personal renewal.
Ogala, however, has dismissed the explanation, saying that stepping aside from the pulpit does nothing to resolve the questions she has consistently raised, particularly concerning the death of her younger brother.
The actress maintained that the issue goes beyond apologies or temporary withdrawal from church leadership, stressing that what is required is full disclosure about what she has described as the mysterious circumstances surrounding her brother’s passing.
In a strongly worded response, Ogala called on Pastor Okafor to come forward with answers, declaring that she would not be silenced or distracted by what she views as superficial gestures.

She stated that the apology and the January break are not enough to ease her pain, adding that the matter will not be swept under the carpet until the truth is brought to light.
Ogala further revealed that she is prepared to present evidence to support her claims, signalling that the controversy surrounding the pastor is far from over and may yet escalate further.
She said in a video: “Many people have said that he left me and married another person, that he detained me, that he sent my nude pictures, and that he apologised, so I should let it go. It does not work like that. Chris Okafor should come and explain to me what happened to my brother. Stepping down from the church is not enough.
“I heard that he stepped down from the altar for one month and handed over to his assistant pastor, but that is not enough for me. Chris Okafor, stepping down from the altar, is not enough. You have to explain to me what happened to my brother, the role you played and how my brother was poisoned. I have all the evidence, and I am going to play everything: voice recordings and all the plots.
“You have a long battle coming. No matter what, you had no right to go that far with me. I did nothing to you. People said I should forgive, but what am I leaving behind? If I leave everything, will the money he gives me bring my brother back?
“This is just the beginning. We have not started yet, Chris. Just hold on. I will be displaying everything. You will tell me what happened to my brother. What offence did he commit? Did he have anything to do with you? Why did you hurt me this much? Stepping down from the altar is not enough for me.”
