Former Premier League player, Jamie Redknapp has proposed that Mikel Arteta should use Noni Madueke and Max Dowman in Arsenal’s right wing position instead of Bukayo Saka.
He asserted that the Englishman is not performing effectively on the right wing and should contemplate a change following the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
In a discussion on Sky Sports, Redknapp stated that Saka has not risen to the occasion for Arsenal this season.
He believes that Mikel Arteta ought to utilize Noni Madueke and Max Dowman as his right-wing options.
“This is the moment when your star players need to elevate their performance. The player I currently feel is not meeting his potential is Bukayo Saka.
“I expect to see more from him. He has been a game-changer for Arsenal on numerous occasions. Recently, however, I have not witnessed the level of creativity, imagination, skill, and goals that we require from him.
“Additionally, he has Max Dowman challenging for his position, and Noni Madueke is also capable of playing on the right side,” he said.
Redknapp further suggested that Saka should be experimented with on the left wing in the forthcoming matches, stating, “I think it might be beneficial to play Saka on the left at times. It seems he is struggling to find success against any opponent he faces.
