The Gombe State chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Kabir Makko, has resigned from his position.
In a resignation letter obtained and addressed to the Chairman of NNPP Akko Ward, Makko announced his decision to step down from both his membership of the party and his leadership role.
He explained he officially resigned as a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Gombe State chapter from March 23, 2026.
Makko added that his resignation included his position as the state chairman of the party.
He said, “By this resignation, I also relinquish my position as the Gombe State Party Chairman. This decision has been made after careful political consideration.”
He thanked and appreciated party members and stakeholders for the support given to him during his tenure as the state chairman of the party.
Copies of the letter were also sent to the NNPP National Chairman.
