World heavyweight boxing star, Anthony Joshua, was on Monday involved in a road accident in Makun, Ogun State.
The incident reportedly occurred along a busy stretch of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, when the vehicle conveying the boxer collided with another car under circumstances yet to be fully ascertained.
An eyewitness who participated in the rescue efforts further disclosed that Joshua sustained minor injuries, while two persons reportedly died at the scene of the crash.
The accident has since triggered widespread reactions on social media, with fans and well-wishers expressing concern over the boxer’s safety.
The cause of the collision was yet to be made public as authorities investigate the incident.
