Kebbi State First Lady, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has called on Christians to strengthen bonds with people of other faiths during the Christmas period.
Hajiya Idris made the appeal in a Christmas message issued through her Chief Press Secretary, Hajiya Khadija Saidu, and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.
She emphasised Kebbi’s culture of pluralism, equity, and equality.
“Kebbi State has consistently maintained a culture of pluralism, equity, and equality, allowing people of different faiths and backgrounds to live together harmoniously as brothers of the same destiny,” she said.
Kebbi First Lady urged residents to “embrace the spirit of love and unity during this festive period” and prayed for sustainable peace and success for Governor Nasir Idris-led administration.
She extended festive greetings to Christians in the state, saying, “I wish each of you a peaceful and joyous holiday season, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
